Changes in memory and thinking? “It’s no more than you’d expect when you get old…” You have probably heard similar words. Perhaps you have said them about yourself or a family member or a friend. Perhaps somebody has said them about you. The truth is that there are many misconceptions about the effects of age on the brain. What is normal and what is not? Are there things we can do to keep our brains functioning well in old age? What should you do if you are concerned about yourself or somebody else?
